Materials Planning Officer – Emiratisation

About the role

The Materials Planning Officer will support the Material Management Department in ensuring the timely availability of aircraft spares, rotables, and consumables across the network. This position focuses on planning, initial provisioning, and replenishment to meet entry‑into‑service, operational, and maintenance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and plan actions to guarantee material availability for line and base maintenance.
• Conduct regular inventory reviews, trigger analysis, and failure‑rate assessments to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Liaise with engineering sections to align requirements, calculate Economic Order Quantity, and manage surplus and slow‑moving items.
• Perform initial provisioning reviews for aircraft, engines, cabin, IFE, BFE, and commercial spares based on manufacturer recommendations.
• Use the MyBC system to monitor staff performance, recognize high performers, and implement development plans.
• Maintain compliance with material planning procedures and support supply‑chain metrics such as AOG, shortages, SLAs, and KPIs.
• Escalate critical shortages, support periodic audits, and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aviation material planning or spare‑parts inventory management.
• Strong analytical ability to forecast demand, evaluate failure rates, and calculate optimal order quantities.
• Excellent coordination skills with procurement, engineering, and operations teams.
• Capability to lead and develop staff performance using the MyBC system.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
