About the role

GEMS World Academy in Abu Dhabi is seeking experienced Mathematics Teachers to join its secondary department from August 2026. The school follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework alongside elements of the British curriculum, offering a dynamic, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, inclusive mathematics lessons for secondary students within IB and British curriculum frameworks.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement strategies that promote access, progress and achievement for all learners.
• Use data to monitor student progress and plan targeted interventions.
• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere aligned with the IB Learner Profile and GEMS Core Values.
• Contribute to school‑wide inclusive practices and engage with parents and the wider community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in Mathematics.
• Minimum three years of secondary mathematics teaching experience, preferably in an IB or British curriculum setting.
• Strong understanding of the IB philosophy and Approaches to Teaching and Learning.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and organisational abilities.
