Classroom Assistant – Noya British School (AY 26/27)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Classroom Assistant for Noya British School in Abu Dhabi for the academic year 26/27. The role supports pupils inside and outside the classroom, contributing to their social, emotional and physical well‑being while assisting teachers with daily tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support for individual pupils or groups inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation in activities and ensure their social, emotional and physical well‑being.
• Assist in implementing individual education programmes, monitor progress and support pupils with additional needs such as emotional or behavioural difficulties.
• Support class teachers by maintaining pupil records, preparing displays of pupil work, photocopying and other teaching support tasks.
• Supervise pupils in classrooms and other locations, check attendance and help enforce health and safety policies.
• Participate in developing behaviour policies, promote self‑esteem and discipline misbehaviour in line with school policy.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary school certificate.
• At least two years’ experience in a school setting.
• English language proficiency according to the school curriculum.
• Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Passion for teaching, high professionalism and commitment to child welfare.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) or police check.
