Mathematics Teacher – Secondary Phase (Starting Aug 2027)

About the role

GEMS Royal Dubai School is seeking a dynamic Mathematics Teacher to join its expanding secondary phase beginning August 2027. You will deliver high‑quality maths instruction to a diverse student body, fostering curiosity, confidence and strong academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the NCfE framework.
• Set high expectations for achievement, behaviour and participation, creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Use assessment data to adapt teaching, provide feedback and implement timely interventions.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, resource selection, moderation and preparation for future examination pathways.
• Build strong relationships with students, colleagues and families, communicating progress clearly.
• Participate in pastoral duties, enrichment activities, extracurricular programmes and community events.
• Engage in professional learning, coaching, appraisal and quality‑assurance processes.
• Safeguard student welfare and follow all school policies and reporting procedures.

Required profile

• A recognised teaching qualification and a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• Strong knowledge of the NCfE curriculum; experience with GCSE mathematics and further maths is desirable.
• Proven record of delivering strong student outcomes.
• Excellent classroom practice, behaviour management and communication skills.
• Ambitious, adaptable and collaborative mindset to support the school’s growth.
