M&E Engineer – Building Systems Analysis

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to turn laser‑scanned building data into accurate load calculations, equipment schedules and engineering reports for our US‑based clients. Based in Dubai, you will work closely with field teams and BIM coordinators across the UAE, India and Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Perform heating and cooling load calculations for existing commercial and residential buildings using survey data, drawings and photographs.
• Conduct electrical load calculations, develop panel schedules, demand load summaries and assess available capacity.
• Read and interpret site photographs to extract data from electrical panels, breakers, transformers and mechanical equipment nameplates.
• Identify and catalogue mechanical and electrical assets (RTUs, AHUs, chillers, boilers, VAV boxes, pumps, switchgear, etc.) including make, model, capacity and condition.
• Apply US codes and standards such as ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE 62.1, IECC and NEC to all calculations and documentation.
• Prepare clear engineering reports, narratives and calculation summaries for delivery to US clients.
• Coordinate with BIM teams to ensure accurate M&E data integration and review deliverables for technical accuracy.
• Contribute to standard templates, workflows and test new AI‑assisted analysis tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services/MEP Engineering.
• Minimum three years of experience in MEP design, building services or energy analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
