Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the review and compliance of MEP designs for high‑rise and villa projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, district cooling, grey‑water treatment and automated waste‑management systems meet project specifications, codes and sustainability targets such as Mostadam and LEED.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify MEP design packages for compliance with local building codes, standards and sustainability criteria.
• Analyse energy efficiency of mechanical systems and propose optimisation measures.
• Identify design discrepancies and provide technical recommendations to architects and engineering teams.
• Prepare detailed review reports, specifications and project documentation.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of MEP experience, with at least 8 years in the UAE.
• Proven experience in construction supervision within a consultancy environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
