Mechanical Inspector - Site

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Mechanical Inspector to join AECOM’s Abu Dhabi site team. The role involves overseeing the installation, testing and compliance of mechanical systems across large‑scale construction projects, ensuring they meet UAE regulations and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct systematic inspections of mechanical installations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related structural components.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports, document findings and recommend corrective actions with supporting evidence.
• Supervise contractors and installation crews to guarantee work quality, adherence to specifications and timely completion.
• Verify system functionality through comprehensive testing and commissioning, recording results and certifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
• Maintain organized records of all inspections, test results and compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Professional with strong analytical abilities and a commitment to high quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work transparently within multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and international building codes.
