Mechanical Technician I – FCT

About the role

Join one of the world’s largest food companies as a Mechanical Technician I (FCT) in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for maintaining mechanical equipment, ensuring high‑quality operations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns in assigned areas.
• Maintain mechanical standards, controls, and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team on continuous‑improvement projects.
• Handle chemical products safely and comply with all HSE requirements.
• Ensure GMP, 5S, Good Manufacturing Process, and Food Defense compliance.
• Reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) by providing effective line support.
• Log anomalies, complete M1‑M3 notifications, and confirm work orders in the PM system.
• Report HSE hazards, incidents, and deviations promptly.
• Assist in risk‑assessment preparation and participate in food‑safety training.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance (approximately 36 months).
• Technical qualification in Mechanical Trade or a related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical controls, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Familiarity with HSE, GMP, 5S, and food‑safety regulations.
