MEP CAD Draughtsman – AutoCAD Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MEP CAD Draughtsman to join our team in Dubai. The role involves producing and maintaining detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings using AutoCAD, while collaborating closely with system engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with Dubai Airports and local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update, and combine detailed MEP drawings, including layout plans, schematics, and diagrams.
• Ensure drawings follow T&GIS standards for coordinate systems, naming conventions, file naming, and layer structures.
• Revise drawings based on site modifications and communicate changes to the team.
• Collaborate with T&GIS team, system engineers, and related professionals to verify drawing accuracy.
• Participate in progress review meetings, providing input and suggestions for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of drawing revisions and ensure adherence to regulatory and project requirements.
• Conduct site visits as needed to gather data for drawing preparation or revision.
• Track project progress and assist with reporting to meet schedule commitments.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MEP CAD Draughtsman.
• At least 1 year of experience on projects at Dubai Airports or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to produce accurate MEP drawings in compliance with local standards.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and design.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
