Music Teacher

About the role

GEMS Winchester School in Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher to join its faculty in August 2026. The successful candidate will inspire students across designated grade levels, fostering musical skills, creativity, and an appreciation for diverse musical cultures.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Teach vocal and/or instrumental music to students.
• Develop students' musical abilities, creativity, and cultural appreciation.
• Prepare students for performances, concerts, assemblies, competitions, and special events.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and self‑expression.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in music, music education, or performing arts (equivalency mandatory).
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a school setting (preferable).
• Experience teaching vocal and/or instrumental music.
• Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments.
• Candidates residing in the UAE and ready to join immediately are preferred.
• UK‑enhanced DBS or equivalent police check is required.
