About the role

American Gulf School is expanding its Middle Years Programme (MYP) and seeks an inspirational Maths Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction in Sharjah. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team committed to academic excellence and student wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess MYP Mathematics lessons in line with IB standards.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning.
• Engage effectively with students, parents and staff to support student progress.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and contribute to a safe learning environment.
• Participate in professional development and school community activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• Valid teaching credential or license.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an American or IB school.
• Native‑like English proficiency or IELTS score of 8+.
• Commitment to the school’s values of hard work, dedication and academic excellence.
