MYP/DP Psychology Maternity Cover Teacher

About the role

We are seeking an innovative MYP/DP Psychology teacher to provide maternity cover at GEMS World Academy Dubai, starting in August 2026. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded Psychology department and deliver the IB curriculum to secondary students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging MYP and DP Psychology lessons in line with the IB framework.
• Maintain continuity of learning during the maternity cover period.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to analyse data and refine curriculum.
• Support students’ personal and academic development, fostering a caring learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education or a degree plus a teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) in Psychology.
• Minimum of three years’ experience teaching secondary Psychology, preferably within an IB school.
• Strong understanding of the IBDP framework and Approaches to Teaching (preferred).
• Commitment to continuous professional improvement and alignment with IB values.
• Availability to start in August 2026 and already holding a UAE work visa.
