National Consultant – Youth Empowerment (Consultant)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a National Consultant to support youth empowerment initiatives in the United Arab Emirates. The consultant will work remotely, providing technical advice to the SDG Club/Ambassadors programme and strengthening children’s and adolescents’ participation in national and international development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical guidance to the SDG Club/Ambassadors initiative to accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Design and facilitate training sessions for young people on child rights, advocacy, and SDG implementation.
• Collaborate with government agencies and UN partners to integrate youth perspectives into policy and programme design.
• Prepare reports, recommendations, and learning materials for the SCMC and UNICEF stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social sciences or a related field.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in child rights, SDG promotion, and youth training.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
• Valid residence permission in the UAE.

Required skills

• Strong communication and presentation abilities with government officials and adolescents.
