Network Architect – Internal Consultant

About the role

The Network Architect will act as an internal consultant for software engineers, QA and management teams, guiding networking design decisions for a next‑generation Network Operating System. You will ensure protocol implementations follow RFC standards, support realistic topology testing, and mentor engineers to align the greenfield NOS with real‑world network behavior.

Key responsibilities

• Validate BGP, EVPN, MPLS and SPF implementations against RFC specifications.
• Provide QA strategy support by helping teams design and test realistic network topologies.
• Create internal design guidelines and best‑practice documentation for engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers on networking decisions, protocol behavior, and hardware resource mapping.
• Collaborate with product and management stakeholders to shape network architecture decisions.

Required profile

• Expert‑level networking knowledge, preferably CCIE or HCIE certified.
• Extensive experience in data‑centre or telecom networking with large‑scale deployments.
• Strong proficiency in Linux networking and testing methodologies.
• Deep understanding of protocol requirements and ASIC mapping to TCAM/SRAM resources.
