Network Planning and Scheduling Manager

About the role

Etihad Cargo, the cargo division of Etihad Airways, is seeking a Network Planning and Scheduling Manager to optimise its freighter network, ensuring operational deliverability, profitability and alignment with the Group’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the short‑term freighter schedule (current IATA season), including re‑fleeting, capacity optimisation and on‑time performance.
• Develop long‑term (6‑12 months) network plans to maximise profitability while ensuring operational compliance.
• Recommend capacity‑optimisation initiatives to senior management and develop annual, 5‑year and 10‑year schedule forecasts.
• Coordinate with Network Planning, Revenue Management, Alliances, Operations, Finance and other stakeholders to align schedules with commercial objectives.
• Protect and enhance Etihad’s slot portfolio and ensure accurate publication of flight schedules.
• Analyse route profitability and propose corrective measures for optimal utilisation of freighter and belly capacities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of airline experience in network planning or scheduling; cargo experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate studies in a relevant discipline.
• Strong strategic planning, analytical, negotiation and advocacy abilities.
