Warehouse Materials Planner

About the role

The Planner – Warehouse, Materials Inventory will support supply chain objectives by ensuring optimal stock levels for plant operations and production. The role involves forecasting material needs, managing inventory, and assisting the supervisor as required.

Key responsibilities

• Implement material requirement planning and forecasting for strategic, critical, and consumable items to sustain continuous production.
• Lead MRP processes, control inventory values, and reduce non‑moving or slow‑moving materials.
• Classify materials using VED and criticality analysis, applying inventory optimization techniques.
• Forecast requirements via ERP MRP runs and adjust safety stock levels based on supply‑demand analysis.
• Conduct technical evaluations of purchase requests, update master data, and identify interchangeable or duplicate parts.
• Monitor long lead‑time items, standardize alternative materials/vendors, and drive cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of warehousing experience with industrial inventory management, including computerized systems.
• Strong analytical ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and support maintenance planning.
