Network Security Engineer

About the role

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for protecting the organization’s infrastructure by managing and operating security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection, anti‑virus, and log management solutions. The role requires a solid understanding of web‑related protocols, service‑oriented architectures and the ability to work under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, monitor and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, anti‑virus and content‑filtering solutions.
• Manage authentication systems and log management platforms.
• Analyze and respond to security incidents, reporting findings to senior management.
• Implement mitigation strategies for malicious code, mobile code and other threats.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure network design and disaster recovery readiness.

Required profile

• BE/BS degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer.
• Experience creating and maintaining security systems and a thorough understanding of current security principles and protocols.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Knowledge of computer forensic tools, data loss prevention and disaster recovery methods.
