Nursing Clinical Educator – Pediatrics

About the role

The American Hospital in Dubai is seeking a Nursing Clinical Educator specialized in pediatrics. You will lead learning and development initiatives for nursing staff, ensuring clinical competence aligns with the hospital’s mission and Joint Commission International accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate orientation, learning and development programs for assigned nursing units.
• Provide bedside teaching, mentorship and act as a clinical resource for nursing staff.
• Develop and deliver formal and informal teaching sessions, including competency‑based assessments.
• Maintain a computerized database of staff competency plans and education attendance.
• Report updates to the Nursing Department Manager and participate in nursing and hospital committees.
• Support infection control, pain management, wound care, and safe handling of narcotic/controlled drugs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monthly education meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (minimum three‑year full‑time program).
• Valid nursing license/registration in the country of practice.
• At least three years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics.
• Proven ability to teach, mentor and assess nursing staff.
