About the role

The role involves delivering professional, ethical, and high‑quality clinical care, managing clinical risks, ensuring compliance with governance standards, and maintaining accurate medical records. It also emphasizes continuous professional development and maintaining integrity in providing ethical, responsible clinical services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive professional and ethical clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner.
• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Deliver outpatient dermatology consultations and inpatient care with admission privileges.
• Provide on‑call emergency coverage for dermatologic emergencies.
• Perform dermatologic procedures such as PUVA therapy, skin biopsy, cryosurgery, electrocautery, chemical peeling, curettage and excision.
• Plan and maintain daily work schedules, including leaves, vacations and on‑call rotas.
• Participate in hospital meetings, committees and occupational safety & health initiatives.
• Follow infection control policies and hand‑hygiene standards.

Required profile

• 3–5 years post‑qualification experience at specialist level (independent of country).
• At least 1 year specialist experience in a Tier 1 country as defined by the UAE healthcare regulator.
• Basic medical degree and a recognised specialty qualification/fellowship/diploma accepted by UAE authorities.
• Certification and registration in a recognised dermatology specialty by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
• Active and valid life‑support certification (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
• Eligibility for registration with the UAE healthcare authority (e.g., Royal College, Arab Board, MS/DM/MPhil).
