Occupational Therapist – Rehabilitation

About the role

Amana Healthcare, a leading long‑term care and rehabilitation provider in the Middle East, is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join its multidisciplinary rehabilitation team in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Manager of Rehabilitation, you will deliver patient‑centered occupational therapy services across the continuum of care, from initial assessment through discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret referrals and conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to identify physiological, psychological and cognitive issues.
• Develop, deliver and modify individualized treatment plans that address each client’s specific needs.
• Perform ongoing risk assessments and ensure safety during therapy sessions.
• Promote client self‑management through health education and empowerment strategies.
• Complete required documentation, billing and insurance submissions in line with organisational policies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated care throughout the treatment process.
• Participate in clinical handovers, maintain inventory, and support departmental activities.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, evidence‑based practice and OT services across the lifespan.
• Ability to work within the patient’s care plan and adhere to DOH/DHA regulations.
