Operations Associate – Overnight Shift (Backfilling)

About the role

The Operations Associate – Overnight Shift (Backfilling) ensures the store is fully replenished, organized, and ready for trading each morning. Working overnight, you will receive deliveries, restock shelves, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold Marks & Spencer merchandising standards before the store opens.

Key responsibilities

• Replenish shelves across all store departments during overnight hours to guarantee maximum product availability before opening.
• Backfill products from the stockroom to the sales floor following store replenishment priorities, with focus on promotional, seasonal, and fast‑moving items.
• Receive and process daily deliveries, verify quantities, report discrepancies or damaged stock, and support stock counts and inventory audits.
• Execute planograms and merchandising guidelines, ensure correct pricing and shelf labels, and maintain high standards of store presentation and housekeeping.
• Remove damaged, expired, or discontinued products from the sales floor and store them safely in the stockroom.

Required profile

• Willingness and ability to work the overnight shift.
• Capability to handle deliveries, verify stock quantities and report issues.
• Strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy and merchandising standards.
