Operator (Fuelling)

About the role

The Aircraft Fuelling Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient refuelling and defuelling of aircraft at Abu Dhabi airport, complying with aviation standards, ADNOC procedures and HSE policies.

Key responsibilities

• Refuel and defuel customer aircraft according to the assigned schedule and fuel specifications.
• Verify fuel quantity, type, aircraft parking position and gate number before starting the operation.
• Inspect fuelling vehicles and equipment for defects; report any issues to the supervisor.
• Drive to the apron, position the vehicle, connect bonding hoses, and secure all connections.
• Conduct visual product checks, take fuel samples, and complete all required documentation.
• Obtain signatures from the customer’s representative and hand over the signed copy.
• Maintain constant vigilance over the fuelling process, vehicle, and surrounding area for safety.
• Drive safely back to the depot or to the next aircraft as directed.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months (3 years) of experience in fuelling operations or related aviation ground handling.
• Ability to follow strict safety, quality control and HSE procedures.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with pilots, technicians and customer representatives.
• Valid driving licence and ability to operate fuelling vehicles on airport aprons.
