Oracle KVM Virtualization Engineer (Dubai)

About the role

DeepSource Technologies is seeking an experienced L2 Oracle KVM Virtualization Engineer to join its Dubai team. You will be responsible for the design, deployment, and ongoing management of Oracle Linux KVM hypervisors in a 24x7 production environment, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Linux KVM hypervisors.
• Manage the full VM lifecycle: provisioning, configuration, migration, and de‑commissioning.
• Implement and support High Availability (HA) and live migration capabilities.
• Integrate storage solutions (iSCSI, NFS, SAN, Fibre Channel) with KVM hosts.
• Configure and troubleshoot virtual networking (VLANs, Linux bridges, bonding).
• Monitor platform health, performance, capacity and conduct tuning.
• Apply hypervisor patches, kernel updates and perform security hardening.
• Coordinate VM backup/restore activities and support DR replication.
• Investigate host failures, VM crashes and resource contention, providing root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Linux/OS, Storage, Network, Backup and Cloud teams and follow ITIL incident, problem and change processes.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of experience in virtualization and Linux administration.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle Linux KVM and libvirt.
• Proven track record managing enterprise‑grade production virtualization environments.
• Experience with HA, live migration, and DR support.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 managed‑services setting and provide L2 support.
