Outpatient Pharmacist – Emirati Talent

About the role

Healthpoint is seeking an Outpatient Pharmacist to join its multi‑specialty hospital in Abu Dhabi. The pharmacist will be responsible for preparing, compounding and dispensing medications to out‑patient clients while ensuring compliance with Department of Health regulations and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review, interpret and validate outpatient prescriptions for accuracy and therapeutic compatibility.
• Prepare, label, dispense and deliver medications in line with DOH regulations and pharmacy SOPs.
• Provide patient counselling on drug usage, dosage, side‑effects and adherence.
• Maintain up‑to‑date medication records and patient profiles.
• Monitor inventory, manage controlled substances, track expiries and remove outdated stock.
• Ensure infection control, patient safety and quality standards within the pharmacy.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support safe prescribing practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Licensed by the Department of Health (DOH) of the UAE.
• Clinical exposure through internship or placement in a hospital or retail pharmacy.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical procedures, regulations and best practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
