Pain Medicine Physician

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking an experienced Pain Medicine Physician to diagnose, assess and manage patients with acute and chronic pain. The role covers multidisciplinary pain management, interventional pain procedures and personalised treatment planning to improve patients' quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with acute, chronic and complex pain conditions
• Develop individualised pain management plans based on clinical needs
• Perform interventional pain management procedures where qualified
• Manage conditions such as back pain, neuropathic pain, musculoskeletal pain and cancer-related pain
• Prescribe and monitor medications and treatment protocols
• Coordinate with specialists, surgeons, physiotherapists and rehabilitation teams
• Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust care plans when needed
• Educate patients on pain management strategies and rehabilitation options

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent internationally recognised primary medical qualification
• Masters degree, postgraduate specialist qualification, fellowship or equivalent in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology or a related specialty
• Additional specialist training or fellowship in Pain Medicine is an advantage
• Significant clinical experience in acute and chronic pain management
• Experience in interventional pain procedures preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and patient-care skills
