Specialist Critical Care Physician

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is looking for an experienced Specialist Critical Care Physician to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The role suits someone with strong expertise in managing life-threatening conditions, advanced life-support interventions and complex critical care cases. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Provide comprehensive care to patients admitted to the ICU.
• Manage critical conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac emergencies and multiple organ dysfunction.
• Provide and monitor advanced life-support interventions, including mechanical ventilation and hemodynamic support.
• Perform critical care procedures within the scope of clinical expertise.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans according to clinical response.
• Manage medical emergencies and stabilise patients requiring intensive care.
• Coordinate with intensivists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure patient safety and quality care.

Required profile

• MBBS or an equivalent internationally recognised primary medical qualification.
• Relevant master's degree, postgraduate specialist qualification, fellowship or equivalent internationally recognised qualification in Critical Care Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine or a related specialty.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialisation clinical experience preferred.
• Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making and teamwork skills.
