Painter Polisher

About the role

The Painter Polisher joins the Engineering & Facilities team at Le Méridien Fujairah, responsible for maintaining the aesthetic quality of hotel interiors and furnishings.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain and other finishes to walls, ceilings and furniture using brushes, rollers or spray guns.
• Prepare surfaces by applying primers, stripping old finishes, sanding, abrasive blasting or other methods.
• Protect surfaces during work, post appropriate signage and clean up tools and materials after each job.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colors and ensure compliance with safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school education.
• At least 1 year of related painting or finishing experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Paint application using brushes, rollers and spray guns.
• Surface preparation techniques such as sanding, stripping and abrasive blasting.
• Use of ladders and basic hand tools.
• Adherence to safety procedures and ability to follow company policies.
