People Partner - OTB Joint Venture

About the role

On behalf of OTB, an international fashion and luxury group, Chalhoub Group is seeking a People Partner for a multi-business luxury retail joint venture. The role acts as a trusted People advisor to the General Manager and leadership team, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the People agenda across corporate and frontline retail functions. It suits a proactive, commercially minded person who can balance strategic People work with hands-on execution.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business priorities into People strategies aligned with the JV's objectives, implementing Group HR policies while adapting to the JV's needs
• Drive recruitment planning, selection, onboarding and integration, and support workforce planning, headcount budgets and succession planning
• Coordinate performance management cycles, talent reviews, succession planning and development initiatives, and coach managers on performance and sensitive matters
• Support compensation, reward and recognition processes
• Own employee engagement initiatives, run regular store visits and feedback, and handle employee relations matters with discretion
• Prepare and interpret People metrics such as headcount, turnover, retention and engagement, and take ownership of People projects from planning to delivery

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a People Partner, HR Business Partner or comparable generalist HR role, ideally in luxury retail, fashion, hospitality or another customer-facing environment
• Ability to support both corporate and frontline teams, and to work independently in a lean, entrepreneurial organisation
• Strong stakeholder management, commercial awareness and strong interpersonal and organisational skills
