Pharmacist (Emirati National)

About the role

The Pharmacist (Emirati National) will ensure safe and effective medication use by preparing, dispensing, and reviewing prescriptions while providing patient education and supporting pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and dispense physician prescriptions, checking legality and therapeutic compatibility.
• Provide drug information, counsel patients on usage, storage, side effects, and interactions.
• Assist with basic medical services such as injections and vital‑sign measurements.
• Organise pharmacy layout, manage inventory, label medicines, and monitor product condition.
• Maintain accurate patient records, comply with legal and regulatory standards, and support audit activities.
• Handle patient payments, ensure correct allocation, and coordinate with finance.
• Stay updated on medical advancements through conferences and seminars.
• Follow JCIA‑aligned safety, quality, infection‑control, and risk‑management procedures.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist qualified to practice in the UAE.
• Emirati national status as specified.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret physician orders.
• Commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance.
