Pharmacist – Operations

About the role

The Pharmacy Operations Pharmacist will ensure safe and efficient medication dispensing, provide expert advice to customers, and manage pharmacy stock and cash processes in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medicines, advise on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
• Guide customers on medication brands, medical equipment, and healthcare supplies; train them on devices such as blood pressure and diabetes monitors.
• Handle narcotic, psychotropic, and controlled substances following company protocols.
• Perform cash closing, maintain cash handover registers, and coordinate cash handover to accounting.
• Apply MOH pricing guidelines for loose strip medicines and monitor pharmacy temperature as required.
• Organise stock by category, conduct manual expiry checks, perform monthly perpetual stock taking, and update expiry registers.
• Maintain pharmacy records, inventories, and registers for narcotics and controlled drugs.
• Process prescription billing, separate insurance and corporate bills, submit to relevant departments, and manage ward stock supplies.
• Address software issues, update supplier stock receipts, manage short‑expiry medication, and arrange unavailable medicines for patients.

Required profile

• Experience in pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and customer counseling.
• Familiarity with handling controlled substances and complying with MOH regulations.
• Ability to manage cash, perform stock audits, and maintain accurate records.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory control and expiry monitoring.
