Piping Design Engineer – FEED & Detailed Design

About the role

Bilfinger is seeking an experienced Piping Design Engineer to lead FEED and detailed design activities for oil & gas and industrial projects. The role will be based in the Middle East and will involve delivering complete piping design packages that meet Saudi Aramco and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute FEED and detailed design for piping systems, including PFDs, P&IDs, layouts and 3D models.
• Prepare plot plans, general arrangement drawings, isometrics and detailed piping drawings.
• Perform line sizing, material selection, specification development and flexibility/stress analysis.
• Design and review pipe supports, generate material take‑offs and ensure compliance with ASME, ASTM, API and Saudi Aramco standards.
• Review vendor drawings, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support HAZOP and constructability reviews.
• Provide on‑site construction, query resolution and commissioning support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering.
• 8‑10 years of experience in engineering consultancy, preferably on FEED and detailed design projects.
• Proven experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards and international codes.
