Piping Test Pack Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Piping Test Pack Engineer to join Wood’s Oil, Gas & New Energies business in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will lead the preparation, execution and documentation of test packs for piping systems, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review test pack procedures for new and existing piping projects.
• Coordinate with design, procurement and construction teams to schedule and execute hydrostatic and pneumatic tests.
• Inspect test equipment, supervise field testing activities and ensure accurate data capture.
• Prepare test reports, non‑conformance records and close‑out documentation.
• Support continuous improvement by analysing test results and recommending corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in piping test pack engineering within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API).
• Ability to work on multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.

Required skills

• Preparation and execution of hydrostatic and pneumatic pipe tests.
• Familiarity with test pack documentation and reporting.
• Understanding of piping design software and engineering standards.
