Placements Executive / Officer

About the role

The Placements Executive/Officer will act as the primary career and employability contact for assigned academic departments at Middlesex University Dubai, building strong partnerships with faculty and industry to enhance student outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the principal CCE contact for academic departments, develop annual employability and industry‑engagement plans, and attend faculty and programme meetings.
• Build and maintain sector‑specific employer and alumni networks, creating internships, work placements, graduate roles, mentoring and other employer‑led learning opportunities.
• Translate employer requirements into eligibility criteria, promote opportunities to relevant student groups, and provide career guidance and readiness support.
• Monitor sector trends, conduct market intelligence, and feed curriculum insights to academic teams.
• Maintain accurate records of relationships and opportunities in the Career Management System and other university platforms.

Required profile

• Minimum three years (36 months) of experience in employer engagement, graduate recruitment or career services within a higher‑education environment.
• Proven ability to develop and manage partnerships with academic staff and industry stakeholders.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements and outcome‑based education frameworks.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM or career‑management systems.
• Knowledge of graduate recruitment workflows.
• Strong digital literacy.
