Teacher of Individual Needs (SEN, EAL & Gifted & Talented)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced primary teacher to join our Individual Needs Department, delivering support for SEN, English as an Additional Language and Gifted & Talented pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2. The role involves collaborating with class teachers, designing and delivering group and one‑to‑one interventions, and fostering inclusive learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Support class teachers by providing targeted interventions for students with individual learning needs.
• Design and run group and individual programmes for SEN, EAL and gifted learners.
• Liaise with parents and external agencies to coordinate support plans.
• Contribute to extra‑curricular activities, school productions and wider school life.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a minimum B.Ed or B.A + PGCE and QTS.
• Fluent English speaker familiar with the UK curriculum.
• Proven experience working with diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
• Strong background in supporting students to access the mainstream curriculum.
• Committed to inspiring every pupil and developing the whole child.
