Planning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Planning Engineer to join NMDC Energy PJSC in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supporting project execution through detailed planning, progress monitoring and control across engineering, procurement and construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret tender and contractual conditions, scope and obligations.
• Develop and maintain project planning packages, work breakdown structures and activity sequences.
• Measure actual progress, compare with baseline schedules and identify variances.
• Prepare and issue updated planning packages, progress reports and monitoring tools in coordination with engineering, procurement, yards, offshore and onshore teams.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and gather data.
• Analyse planning and control data to highlight potential issues and provide inputs for internal and corporate reports.
• Act as the Senior Planning Engineer’s backup when required and ensure compliance with project control procedures and HSE standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project planning, monitoring and production control.
