Platform Engineering & Data Technical Lead (6-Month Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineering and Data Technical Lead to act as the on‑shore technical authority for a six‑month enterprise transformation programme in Abu Dhabi. The role will drive the design, implementation and go‑live of a process‑orchestration platform, an enterprise data platform and an integration roadmap across core business streams.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical interface with client stakeholders, the incumbent data‑platform vendor and parallel initiatives.
• Define and document target architecture, engineering standards and security/RBAC models.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, code‑review gates and quality controls.
• Assess current data‑platform readiness, identify gaps and oversee vendor implementation.
• Design the target data model, business entities and source‑to‑target mappings.
• Lead the build of ingestion pipelines and transformation logic for structured and unstructured data.
• Implement data‑quality, validation and reconciliation processes.
• Direct offshore engineering, platform, data and QA teams and ensure production readiness through go‑live and stabilization.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale platform and data engineering programmes.
• Strong architectural understanding with hands‑on technical depth.
• Experience managing offshore teams and vendor relationships.
• Ability to identify and mitigate technical risks.
