Platform Reliability Engineer

About the role

Beacon Red, part of EDGE Group, is building a highly resilient hybrid‑multicloud platform that spans Nutanix and public cloud while migrating workloads from VMware. We are seeking a Platform Reliability Engineer who is passionate about automation, resilience, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, performance, and recoverability of critical platform services.
• Manage and validate backup and recovery capabilities using enterprise tools such as Rubrik.
• Plan and execute disaster‑recovery testing and recovery‑assurance activities.
• Support platform and workload migrations from VMware to modern cloud environments.
• Develop automation to reduce operational effort and improve service reliability.
• Enhance observability, monitoring, alerting, and overall operational readiness across the platform.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering.
• Proven track record of improving platform resilience, recoverability, and operational efficiency through automation.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
