Platform Software Engineer (Backend)

About the role

Speechify is looking for a Platform Software Engineer to design, build and maintain the core backend services that power its text‑to‑speech ecosystem. You will join a fully distributed team of engineers, AI researchers and product experts, working on high‑impact features such as payments, subscriptions, analytics and public APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate robust APIs (public TTS API, internal payment, subscription, auth and consumption tracking services).
• Own the end‑to‑end backend landscape, ensuring performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with B2B product teams to deliver customizable solutions for enterprise clients.
• Work closely with cross‑functional partners to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to make product‑driven technical decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, fast‑paced work ethic.
