Plumber / Technician – Hotel Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Plumber / Technician to join the Engineering team at our Desert Islands Resort & Spa in Abu Dhabi. The role involves maintaining, repairing and servicing the hotel’s plumbing and water systems to ensure guest comfort, safety and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of plumbing and water systems.
• Inspect, repair and maintain water supply, drainage, sewage and sanitary installations.
• Respond to plumbing requests and emergencies in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, kitchens and back‑of‑house zones.
• Repair or replace pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, pumps, water heaters and other fixtures.
• Identify and fix leaks, blockages, low pressure and other issues.
• Conduct regular inspections to spot potential defects and schedule maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and parts used.
• Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean, safe and organized.
• Follow hotel health, safety, environmental and operational procedures.
• Support additional engineering and maintenance tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum of 12 months (1 year) experience in plumbing or related maintenance.
• Ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Commitment to uphold high hotel standards and guest satisfaction.
