PMC Lead Process Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to join its PMC team in Abu Dhabi. The role will support high‑profile oil, gas and new‑energies projects, with occasional travel to Spain, and will be responsible for delivering process‑engineering solutions that meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all process‑engineering activities within the project management consultancy (PMC) framework.
• Develop and review process design packages, specifications, and calculation reports.
• Ensure compliance with client standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil and instrumentation engineers, to integrate process solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and oversee the preparation of deliverables.
• Support project execution through technical reviews, risk assessments and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in process engineering within the oil, gas or energy sector.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex engineering deliverables.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to travel internationally as required.

Required skills

• Process design and simulation.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ISO).
• Technical documentation and reporting.
