About the role

GEMS FirstPoint School is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Politics to join its vibrant community in September 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality Politics lessons to secondary students, following the British curriculum, and will have the opportunity to progress into middle‑leadership roles.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging Politics lessons that meet curriculum standards.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support a diverse, multicultural student body.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to co‑curricular and extra‑curricular programmes that enhance whole‑school initiatives.
• Utilise technology effectively to enrich classroom learning.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Politics and related social studies subjects.
• Experience teaching at secondary level, preferably within the British curriculum.
• Commitment to inclusive, values‑driven education.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with educational technology tools.
• Effective classroom management and assessment techniques.
