Pool & Beach Attendant

About the role

Rixos Al Mairid, part of the Rixos group, is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Pool & Beach Attendant to keep the pool and beach areas clean, safe and well organised while delivering a great guest experience. The role covers guest assistance, towel service, area supervision and upkeep of poolside and beach furniture.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, help with seating arrangements and provide towels, umbrellas and other amenities.
• Monitor the pool and beach areas for guest safety and compliance with hotel policies, reporting hazards or emergencies immediately.
• Keep the pool deck, beach areas, lounge chairs and other facilities clean and arrange furniture neatly.
• Distribute and collect towels, keeping an accurate record of inventory.
• Arrange loungers, umbrellas, cabanas and beach furniture according to guest needs and property standards.
• Report water quality concerns so that chemical balance and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Check that pool and beach equipment works properly and report damage or maintenance needs.
• Follow the hotel's lost and found procedures and work with lifeguards, housekeeping and food and beverage teams.
• Promote eco-friendly practices such as minimising waste, reducing plastic use and conserving water.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in hospitality, recreation or customer service is an advantage.
• Able to stand, walk, lift and carry items for long periods outdoors.
• Friendly, professional and able to communicate and solve problems effectively.
• Ability to work as a team with recreation, housekeeping and food and beverage teams.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organisation and hospitality standards.
