Pool Technician – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Pool Technician will ensure that the swimming pool and water‑fountain network at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort operate at the highest standards of safety, hygiene and guest satisfaction. Working closely with the Pool Supervisor, you will lead daily maintenance activities and support the pool team in delivering a flawless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the resort swimming pool, water‑fountain network and associated equipment in optimal condition.
• Execute preventive‑maintenance programmes for pumps, lights, and filtration systems.
• Prepare and add chemicals according to supervisor instructions and record daily water‑balance parameters.
• Perform minor electrical work on pump stations and interior/outdoor pool lighting.
• Lead and supervise pool attendants, ensuring health, hygiene and safety standards are met.
• Respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot faults, and record parts used for repairs.
• Test and maintain fire‑detection systems in pool areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and uphold environmental safety.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a pool technician, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and guest service excellence.

Required skills

• Chemical handling and pool water‑balance testing.
• Basic electrical maintenance of pool pump stations and lighting.
• Preventive‑maintenance planning and execution.
• Record‑keeping of maintenance activities and parts usage.
• Fire‑detection system testing.
