Post-Doctoral Associate – Land Economics Research (NYUAD)

About the role

The Center for Interacting Urban Networks (CITIES) at NYU Abu Dhabi is recruiting a Post‑Doctoral Associate to contribute to the LANDMark project, which investigates land economics across a range of topics. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team focused on measurement of land prices, determinants of land value, macro‑economic stability, land taxation, and the political economy of land.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct original research on land price imputation techniques and the impact of public infrastructure on land values.
• Analyze macro‑economic dynamics involving land as a fixed asset and explore alternative taxation schemes.
• Collaborate with scholars from economics, engineering, computer science, and political science on interdisciplinary publications.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in economics or a quantitative discipline earned within the last five years.
• Demonstrated research experience in land economics, spatial economics, macro‑economics, or related fields.
• Excellent written and spoken English and ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
