About the role
The Diploma in Nuclear Technology (DNT) is a 24‑month full‑time training programme offered by Emirates Nuclear Energy Company (ENEC) for UAE nationals. Successful trainees will be prepared to work as local operators or maintenance technicians at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, supporting safe and reliable electricity generation.
Key responsibilities
- Complete classroom and laboratory studies covering mathematics, physics, chemistry, electrical, instrumentation & controls, mechanical, nuclear systems and radiation protection.
- Undertake on‑the‑job training at the Barakah Plant during the second year to acquire practical operating and maintenance experience.
Required profile
- UAE national, aged 18‑25.
- High school certificate with at least 70 % grade.
- IELTS score of 5 or equivalent English proficiency.
- Completed national military service (no exemptions).
