Principal Electrical Engineer

About the role

Black & White Engineering is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical discipline on large‑scale building and infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role combines technical leadership with strategic influence, allowing you to shape standards, mentor engineers, and build trusted client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the electrical discipline from concept through detailed design and construction support on complex projects.
• Provide technical oversight, quality assurance, and ensure compliance with international codes, local regulations, and client requirements.
• Develop and review designs, specifications, calculations, reports, drawings, and contract documentation.
• Act as the technical authority for electrical matters and manage client relationships throughout project delivery.
• Support senior management in resource planning, project strategy, and risk management.
• Collaborate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and public health teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Conduct technical reviews, design workshops, value‑engineering exercises, and coordination meetings.
• Assist business development with proposals, presentations, and client outreach.
• Mentor senior, intermediate, and junior engineers, promoting innovation and best practices.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in electrical engineering within a consultancy or construction environment.
• Proven technical leadership and ability to influence engineering decisions.
• Strong client‑facing skills and experience managing stakeholder relationships.
• Demonstrated capability to mentor and develop engineering teams.
