Principal Software Test Engineer

About the role

ADASI, a leading aerospace company in the United Arab Emirates, is looking for a Principal Software Test Engineer to lead its embedded and aviation software testing efforts. The role combines hands‑on testing with team leadership, ensuring that safety‑critical systems meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a software testing team to deliver accurate, on‑time test results for embedded and avionics systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain test cases derived from requirements and design documentation.
• Execute manual and automated tests covering functional, performance, and safety criteria.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with RTCA DO‑178C standards.
• Manage the full testing lifecycle: planning, execution, defect reporting, and closure.
• Mentor team members on test automation, CI/CD practices, and continuous QA improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional groups on system integration and validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of software testing experience, primarily with embedded systems.
• Proven experience leading testing teams in safety‑critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of RTCA DO‑178C and aviation software standards.
• Experience with UAV systems and Qt framework is preferred.
