Process Engineer – Soldering (PCBA)

About the role

Eaton is looking for a Process Engineer specialized in soldering to join its new sustainable campus in Dubai. You will be responsible for setting up, validating, maintaining and continuously improving wave, selective wave, manual, robotic soldering and depaneling equipment for PCBA production, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and maintain operators and maintenance work instructions for soldering, depaneling and X‑Ray equipment.
• Lead prototype manufacturing for new‑product‑introduction (NPI) and transferred PCBA projects.
• Support the Industrialization Program Manager with process flow charts, PFMEA, PPAP and other launch deliverables.
• Participate in DFM reviews with R&D to influence PCB/PCBA design.
• Implement ECO/MCO changes for soldering and depaneling processes on schedule.
• Track and improve cycle times of wave, manual, robotic soldering and depaneling lines, updating RCCP data.
• Assist with customer audits and plant quality certifications at the soldering level.
• Manage procurement of frames, fixtures, tools and accessories for soldering, depaneling and X‑Ray inspection.
• Program and set‑up wave and selective wave soldering equipment.

Required profile

• Experience with PCBA soldering and depaneling processes in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of wave, selective wave, manual and robotic soldering technologies.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as PFMEA, PPAP and DFM reviews.
• Ability to create and maintain detailed work instructions and process documentation.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and defect reduction.
