Procurement Executive

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Procurement Executive to lead local purchasing activities and manage end‑to‑end import operations. The role demands strong coordination, meticulous attention to detail, and solid knowledge of UAE import regulations to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day local procurement, including sourcing, issuing purchase orders, and supplier follow‑up.
• Negotiate with local suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
• Review and validate import documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, health certificate, certificate of origin) before shipment arrival.
• Handle product registration and approvals through Dubai Municipality systems (FIRS, Montaji/ZDLM).
• Coordinate with freight forwarders on shipment planning, documentation, and delivery schedules.
• Oversee customs clearance via Dubai Customs (Mirsal 2) and ensure timely release of shipments.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities (Dubai Municipality, MOCCAE) for permits, inspections, and compliance.
• Track shipments end‑to‑end and resolve operational or documentation issues.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, imports, and supplier performance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement and import operations.
• Strong knowledge of UAE import procedures and related systems.
• Experience with food/meat imports is a strong advantage.
• Proven negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
