Network Planning and Scheduling Manager

About the role

Etihad Cargo is seeking a Network Planning and Scheduling Manager to optimise the freighter network for Etihad Airways. The role focuses on delivering a profitable, operationally sound cargo schedule that aligns with Etihad Aviation Group’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage short‑term freighter schedule delivery, ensuring capacity optimisation, operational integrity and on‑time performance.
• Develop long‑term (6‑12 month) network plans to maximise profitability and support commercial requests.
• Produce annual, 5‑year and 10‑year schedule forecasts, integrating fleet strategy and slot portfolio management.
• Coordinate with Network Planning, Revenue Management, Alliances, Operations, Government Affairs, Finance and Corporate Communications.
• Oversee ad‑hoc charter requests, ensuring they add value without compromising operations.
• Analyse route profitability and recommend frequency or fleet adjustments for both tactical and structural optimisation.
• Collaborate with passenger network planning to align cargo capacity needs.
• Implement corrective measures to optimise utilisation of freighter and belly capacities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of airline network planning or scheduling experience; cargo exposure is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate studies in a relevant discipline.
• Strong strategic planning, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to influence senior management and drive capacity optimisation initiatives.
